Introduction
With a fresh clean install of toendaCMS there are many features for weblogging available.
Categories
One of the main features of toendaCMS towards weblogging is the possibility to create manifold categories to manage blog entries in. These categories are created using "Manage->News Categories" and every blog entry can be associated with one or more of them. On the sidebar there's a list of links to all categories. Using these links one can read all entries being associated with this specific category. On the main page a defined number of recent entries from all categories is shown per default. This is no hard constraint, but can be modified by the administrator, ie. it's possible to select entries by month or category.
Comments
It's possible to allow the users to comment your blog entries and pictures. This setting can be made on a global or local level. If comments are allowed it's quite common to get offending or offtopic (ie spam) comments. These can be removed or edited using "Manager->Comments".
RSS and other Syndicationfeeds
Manifold standard syndication feeds are provided by toendaCMS. This incldes RSS 0.91, RSS 1.0, RSS 2.0, Atom 0.3 and OPML. These feeds get recreated with the most recent news on every call to the page. They can be used via the links provided in the Sidebar.
